We inform that on February 25th in Poznan IP Internet eXchange we
launched node of internet content delivery network by Akamai Technologies.
Akamai provides content delivery services for biggest global companies.
The customer base includes such companies as Adobe, Apple, BMW, Ebay,
Microsoft, Symantec.
Akamai cache launch in PIX results in availability of network resources
of above companies (in example software updates, ftp mirrors) will be
available for all PIX participants locally - without the necessity of
charging main transit uplinks.

Akamai Cache is the second after Google Global Cache content delivery
service available in PIX.
